Who here has gotten a job offer from a previous employer?

Like a relationship, never go back, it ended for a reason🤷🏻‍♂️. I did own my own business for 30yrs, so that’s just my personal opinion.
A business owner would have a lot of insight here. I was between a rock and a hard place. Between making enough to live on and having enough to branch out on my own. It is a big risk. But most business owners wouldn't have it any other way. I like it now, I work by myself, for myself with few interactions with other people. Perfect for me. Worked my whole life to get here

After breaking my back and umpteen spinal surgeries I can't sit or stand for prolonged periods without searing pain, always having to shift my position and I'm in my late 50's now. I'd love to go back to work but those windows of opportunity just aren't there anymore. Working is a privilege. I'd love to have one more shot

Like putting spoiled milk back in the fridge instead of pouring it out. Spoiled milk will never be good milk again.

I honestly thought my last job could not live without me and that I mattered. I almost let it kill me a few years ago and I had to take some time off and that taught me they could manage. Boss hired a man paying him much more what I was getting paid to manage so I let him and it took me 4 years to finally walk away.
Loyalty and honesty don’t pay the bills.

I will tell everybody you are only a employee number when you work for someone else.
