Bumping this thread for an update.

To be honest, I wasn't "that" interested at first and I wasn't very surprised when things didn't go anywhere. Now that some more time has passed, there has been a good bit of turnover in management, and they have reached out to me for the third time. I went in today and officially excepted the offer.

I say "they" but really it was the current manager that I will be working under. He wasn't my manager when I was there, but someone I have known for a good while because he was one of my wholesale customers. He won't be the perfect boss, but he's consistent and I know what I'm getting. I can't say that about my current bosses.

Always have a plan and work towards it. It likely won't work to your planning. But a plan is better than none. Trust me on that one

Thing is nowadays, one needs to always be looking for their next job. I hate that, but that's it. Plain and simple

yep, this was my plan. I called it frog in the lily pond, sitting on a big leaf, looking for the next leaf to leap to. I had it down to a science, change jobs about every 30-35 months or so.

Had a frat bro who after college changed jobs about every 5 months. He was a skilled salesman, could sell any and everything, from baby pictures to earthmover tires. He was doing it for the training and experience.....to learn how to be a better salesman. He was very personable and a good looking guy.....think young Robert Wagner. He settled on commercial real estate in Chicago area, did very well.
