Would you immigrate to Russia and expect Russians to speak English because you do?

Of course not. Has someone in this thread suggested that you should learn whatever other language they speak to accommodate them? Maybe I missed something.

No you didn't miss something other than people caving....

Press 1 for English......bovine fecal matter, I don't feel as if that needs to be an option. Learn the language or don't use that service

Oh, I see. That's mostly a business decision which is afforded
by our free enterprise system. Regardless, that's a very narrow-minded view you hold on the matter.

The government makes it easy for people to say **** you to the English speakers, every form is available in Spanish, so people aren't made to learn the language.

What about people who just got here whom benefit from translation services? What's a reasonable timeframe for them to learn? Two weeks, one month? After that, **** 'em they're on their own? Even if they learn English, those that immigrate at an advanced age will never learn the language well enough to understand the intricacies of legal matters, tax matters, and such. I see nothing wrong with such services.
