Who here waterfowl hunts?

Pulling up to the grocery store and on the way back it was raining which turned to sprinkling by the time I got to my yard but I saw these guys standing around and thought " well I'm sick when the apocalypse comes. ". LOL the bottom pic you have to zoom in on there's a bunch of chickens there. Again waterfowl in my front yard. Now remember it is raining! LOL

I’ve been once. My nephews are all in. It was fun but by the time I had enough light to see the birds the hunt was over. I went because it was also my son’s first hunt. I will probably send him with his cousins next time

Apply for WMA Quota hunts, is what I’d recommend for people looking to get into it. They’re free and it will be a limited number of hunters on the hunt as opposed to hunting a public lake with hundreds of a-holes that all feel entitled to the ducks.

I’ve been to Illinois several times duck and goose hunting. It’s in the Mississippi Flyway. Internet search will give you some good guide services in the Anna Illinois area. I haven’t been in years but back in the day it was awesome. I still have family that live in the area and they hunt from time to time. Also, I’ve hunted Lake Lanier. Can be good to great. But it can be very bad if they are flying just out of range. You can’t just go anywhere you want. There is a buffer zone around docks bridges roads and the like. Research the regulations before you you. Fines are severe and readily enforced.

Its not what it used to be. Ive hunted ducks out of country even, and still had some of the best hunts in Ga. Most were private spots, but Seminole was awesome back in the day. Divers yes, but if you really knew what to do, limits of puddle ducks. We nearly had it to ourselves in the 80s. Publicity from a certain publication changed that overnight. The ducks are thin now, but i still get pics of game straps loaded with mallards when its right.IMG_7683.jpegIMG_1904.jpeg
