Who is actually shooting .223?

I have been contemplating doing that. But... Eventually components are going to run dry and you reloaders are going to be in the same boat as people who don't reload.

They might be pricey for a little while, I don't know about running dry. I have enough stuff stashed away to not worry about it for a while.

Trying to set a bench up now would suck though.

I acquired a PEW-PEW that used .223, I shot 30, my wife shot 30 and my brother in law shot 30... cleaned it, and put it away along with the remainder of the .223 that i bought the last week of December for 0.35 cents a round... INCLUDING DELIVERY!

i am not shooting, buying, or selling right now at all

unless i really have to sell (i might trade but at this point im down to everything i would never let go)

Same here. I have an AR i built in Nov2012 and still haven't shot it yet. might put a mag or 2 through it in the next couple of weeks.

I'm in a different boat, wanting to buy an AR15 but pricing and availability are crazy and then there's locating ammo for it and wondering if the cost of the ammo will come down.

I'm just not sure I can justify buying an AR for 1500 bucks that was not to long ago priced around 800, then having to pay .75 to 1.00 a round is crazy. Plus what if the prices don't come down on the ammo or the government tries to regulate the crap out of it to where it goes up then look where I would be...

It's frustrating, thats what it is. I think at this point I'm just going to hold out and just wait to see what happens. Currently I have .22 rifle and pistol, 9, .380, 45 auto pistols but have been wanting an AR for along time. Guess I missed the good ole days where they were priced nicely and ammo was pleny and not crazy expensive.

I got rid of all my AR's and ammo. I won't be getting anything else chambered in .223 for a while. Had to turn down a nice offer on a bolt action .223 because I refuse to get into the ammo hunt. I'm down to 9mm right now and have absolutely no finding it. Usually buy 500 rounds every couple of days and go to the range about twice a week and burn about 100 or more each time.

We are already there. CCI#41 primers are on back order until 9/02. Same for most powders, cases and projectiles.

Im still shooting 223 and 5.56 with my son. I pulled off some good trades recently that helped me acquire another 1900 rounds at pre-panic values, so that should hold us over for a few more months shooting 180 rounds every other weekend without having to dip into my reserves. We are also shooting a lot of .22 through our AR conversion kits (but I have more than enough .22 and wont be worried about that for a long time).
