I haven't forgotten about this; just been busy. But did take it out to shoot today for the first time. Didn't have a lot of kick at the range but my shoulder is thanking me right now.
Do have a couple of pictures I need to get around to uploading. She's pretty much done. Still needs to have the bolt stripped apart and some fine tuning but I'm satisfied. My shoulder isn't. Fairly accurate considering the amount of crud that was originally in the bore.

i prefer to use foaming engine cleaner on the inside of the barrels of "new to me" old rifles, the old powder and black just pour out of the barrel and the finish is still protected because the foaming kind is weak enough be used on plastic
