Why did leupold stop making pistol scopes?

Many have moved to the Scout scope for handguns. More filed of view generally and easier to get a good sight picture. The Leupolds selling on eBay cost more than when they purchased new. Try a scout and see if you can adjust to the shorter relief.

Had to look that up. I've never used a scope on a handgun. I guess the longest distance I ever used a handgun was 60 some yds. I wouldn't have had a problem going to @ 120 some yds with it.
No, I have shot out to @ 75yds come to think of it. All open sights

I got a Burris for my Thompson center contender 357. Glass is pretty nice but I miss my leupolds. When I was 18 I hunted with a 9 1/2 inch Ruger Super Redhawk 44 magnum with a 4 power leupold. Loved that gun. Hitting bullseye at 100 yards with 300 grain bullets I reloaded was a joy. Get the sun behind you and you can watch that behemoth to the target.

Nah that be way to short for a 500 S&W recoil. Or a 44 even for that matter.

It is amazing with the right firearm. Hunting with an extremely accurate handgun.
