Why do people post things as “FOR TRADE ONLY”?

Why do they list items “for sale only” this is the OUTDOOR TRADER for heavens sake!!

Simple: Because they need money.

I’ve done it out of a sense of adventure just to see what I end up with. Sometimes a milsurp collector will let go of something I‘ve been looking for just because he’s getting something he wants without having to hunt it down.

Trade is 1 transaction for what you want
Selling is one transaction then trying to find what you're looking for in a distance you'd be willing to drive is another transaction. For the feedback junkies it works out well
