Why do so many ODT sellers ask for carry license?

My assumption has always been that it's their way of fulfilling the "prohibited person" part of the sale. If one has a permit one can be assumed not to be a "prohibited person." That's not entirely correct, but my guess is that they believe it is. If I see that as a requirement, I usually just hit the back button and keep on trucking.

As far as CYA or BOS when I'm selling a gun, it's not my job to play detective nor am I in the business of selling firearms. I'm not gonna lose out a private sale because someone doesn't have a CCW. Just give me my money and get on.

Im super concerned to see all the ODT post asking for non-constitutional concealed carry license. It very disheartening to see so many quote" 2A supporters asking for something that should have never been a thing in the first place. It is very clear in the amendment that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Me having to pay and ask the government for permission to carry my firearm is a clear infringement of the second amendment. Furthermore, if the founding fathers wanted that to be part of the amendment they would have added it. Because In the time most of the founding fathers were carrying sidearms.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I'm really looking forward to hearing opposition.

I'm a constitutionalist why on earth would I apply for something I believe is a complete violation of the second amendment. Furthermore, the fact that it doesn't bother you is exactly why we have gotten to a place we are at now in this country. When you give an inch they take a mile. The statement rains true every time
