Me too, but I do it because I watched a show that talked about all the stuff that goes into the air when a toilet is flushed while open.

And you guys that don't raise the lid while taking a leak are not only good shots, but you have never had sex in your whole life. If you had, you would know that the only way to minimize the impact of the three stream flow, is to give it as much room as possible.

I've gotten the opposite complaint. "Why do your leave it up?" Uh... because I pee more, and based on how gravity works, it's less effort to lower it than raise it.
