Will a magnet remove static from clothes?

Well you can always drag your shoes on the floor and touch your significant other. Removes static every time. Works for me......LOL

I know this is an old ass thread but the wife bought some wool balls that stay in the dryer. Ain't had an instance of static since. I'm sure they are labeled for that because she didn't do research and discover that wool balls would do the trick.
