I picked this rifle up not to long ago on a steal of a deal but im looking for information value and value. It has the original 10 round magazine. I was told the stamp on it is from either joliet prison Illinois or Peter borrow prison England.

20 years ago I inherited my 1907 from my dad, who inherited it from his uncle. Fun to shoot, new ammo can be found online but is expensive. I've killed several deer with mine just for the nostilga. The 10 round mags were mainly used by LE and prison guards. Rumor has it that several were used in the shoot out with Bonnie and Clyde when they were killed. I do know my uncle had his mag held by game wardens at a check in deer hunt at Cohutta many years ago, claimed it was unfair, gave it back when he checked out, didn't know he had a spare in his duffel. Shoot and enjoy it.
