Saw something today and learned something today.
Picked up a nice old Winchester 94 Lever Action to have a look see at Cherokee Gun today and saw it was stamped 307. :cool:
Googled it when I got home.
 
Never heard of it until COVID. Was the ONLY ammo on the shelf at Palmetto State Armory in Savannah.

It’s still there…

Winchester did a production run of 2000 rounds of 180 grain SuperX back in 2004 and they're waiting for the retail network to run low on stock before they make any more.
 
The .307 Winchester was developed in 1982.

The Winchester Big Bore Model 94 Angle Eject rifle was the only rifle produced to fire the cartridge, though competitor Marlin Firearms created some prototype model 336 rifles chambered in .307 Win.
