All right Winchester people. I have what looks to be a 1968 model 94, although I could be wrong on the year. The gun is in decent shape, but has an oddity that I can’t figure out. The magazine tube is longer than the barrel, and the saddle ring is polished rather than blued (not too concerned about the ring though). I’m not real familiar with 94’s but I’m leaning towards this might be a little bit of a Frankenstein. Was there ever a time or situation where the magazine tubes were longer than the barrel, was it not installed properly, is it aftermarket? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch.
