I have a original Winchester model 94 in 30w.c.f. 19 1/2" round barrel. This rifle was made in 1903. All original early winchester, Gun is at least NRA 80% Has crisp beautiful blueing some handling marks on stock. In blue book it is valued at $2,350.00 I would take $1800.00 cash.

Beautiful rifle! Just gotta tell you. Based off of the markings I see from the pics the gun can be no EARLIER than 1929. Serial number 231000 is the 1903 time frame. Your gun is probably somewhere in the 1,080,000 to 1,250,000 range which is 29-45 range. Just tryin to help out.

I have a winchester date of manufacturer book. You need to do ur research. This gun is serial # 284,8xx According to manufactuer book starting at 273,855 in 1903 there were 17,651 produced. So this rifle is an original 1903 winchester model 1894. In 1904 the serial #'s start at 291,507.

The difference is over $1000.00, actually. Tang markings and ramp front sight both indicate much later manufacture.
[I have R. Renneburg's comprehensive book detailing all the versions, production features, etc. for collectors... You need to do YOUR research...]
