Winchester Model 70

I have a model 70 made in 1976. Most of the jeweling on the bolt is gone. So my question to those of you in the "know" is, are the bolt bodies chromed or stainless. Getting ready to rust blue the rifle and plan on cleaning up the looks of the bolt body and want to know prior to starting for the best result.

I would think it simple chrome moly

If a polishing wheel won't clean it up it will get blasted like the rest and get rust blued.

why not rejewel it? Just polish it out and jewel it. Not hard and certainly helps the look of the rifle I think.

I will have to see. Jeweling fixture is money. I don't think I am gifted enough to do it without lol
