Just wondering if anyone here might be able to let me know if this plate is:
A) real or fake
B) what country it might be from if it is real
C) what car it might be from (long shot I know, but it didn't hurt to ask)

Any help would be nice and appreciated. If nothing else, I'll add it to the collection for
my garage/shop wall. Found it at Goodwill in Hinesville, GA today.

I did try to google the term European license plate descriptions and that was as
helpful as a west texas chili fart inside a submarine (I watched Down Periscope last night,
so forgive me for my chili fart reference).

Thanks and here are the pics

Many countries do not print their own plates, they specify dimensions, etc... and the registrant is responsible for getting a plate that complies.

Here's the decoder for the UK:
If it happens to be the UK, and it's legit there's a database to tell you exactly what it belonged to.

might have been made in Canada for use in a British Commonwealth nation,
maybe some small island country where they didn't have the industry needed to make their own license plates?

Or, perhaps to be used on government / military jeeps & other vehicles in Europe during the Allied occupation of postwar Europe?

You mentioning the British Commonwealth nation, for some reason made me recall a visit I
once made to Sanibel Island, FL several years/decades ago. There was a small shop where
the guy would basically prefer barter over cash for some things.
Perhaps that is how the plate got to Goodwill via a tourist/sailor/???.
Or perhaps some poor guys wife/girlfriend/side chick got mad and tossed his stuff out to
Goodwill in a trash bag.

In Ireland, the first two digits on their plate is the vehicle model year with a IRL banner on the left edge.
Plates are on both front and back. Current registration is shown on the windshield.
