TruPrep has ongoing series of workshops that includes classes on concealed carry, home and personal security, legal aspects of self defense, reloading fundamentals, first aid, and food preparation and storage. The next installment of the Basic First Aid Workshop is this Saturday, May 12th from 10:00AM - 1:00PM. The class is taught by Shawn "Mouse" Patterson. In addition to working as an EMT, Mouse served a tour in Afghanistan as a combat medic with the United States Army. So Mouse has seen just about every medical emergency in the worst possible conditions.
This workshop covers the following topics:
* Mindset
* Situational Assessment
* What you can do yourself
* What you can not do yourself
* Equipment you need to be prepared and how to use it
* Document Preparedness
There will be a question and answer session so any first aid related question you have been thinking about you will have a chance to ask someone who has pulled holes and cuts in the worst possible environment.
This class is limited to a maximum of 15 students and costs $20.

From I-75 (North or South), get off on Exit 267B and head west towards Cobb Parkway (Hwy 41). At Cobb Parkway (Hwy 41), turn left and in about .1 mile you will see the yellow âSurvival Storeâ sign on the left. If you get to the Coke plant on the left, you have gone too far.
