I just received a new WFT in 223 and was wondering if the condition of the insert is typical. The shoulder area of the insert looks to be roughly machined and it will scratch the shoulder of the brass to the point you can feel the grooves in the brass. Normal?

Looks like you have metal shavings inside the die. Or am I imaging that?

No, that's not normal. I have several of these and all have been of the best quality and do an excellent job. Contact them and tell them what's going on. I would be very surprised if they don't make it right.
