Would YOU Do a Private Sale to Someone Who doesn't want to provide ID or is Worried About a Bill of Sale?

On my first two sales here, I was paranoid and asked for a Bill of Sale since they were registered to me. The last two I sold that were also registered to me, I didn’t bother, I just made sure to deal with “established” members. If I bought it here, I don’t worry about it.

At this point, if I’m interested in what you’re selling, the Bill of Sale would the least of my concerns, but for the, I can go to my gun store to buy.

I've had three offers on my Glock I have for sale where the person balked at providing ID or made a big deal about a Bill of Sale. Am I being paranoid? This seems really weird to me. I don't want to sell a gun that's going to be a gang members piece or used in a crime. I know you can't guarantee anything but I'm a fan of risk mitigation.
Your property, your rules.

But, your ad doesn't mention either of those things. You might want to include that in the listing.

I wouldn't ever fill out bill of sale for a private seller. But that's just my personal opinion. Again.....your stuff, your rules

Nope. Unless I know you, I won't sell to you unless I see your Georgia Drivers License to at least confirm you're a Georgia resident and over 18. If you have zero feedback, I might also ask that you have a Georgia Weapons Carry License. Depends on how our PMs go. I don't want a copy of them or want a bill of sale.

I'm not an FFL, but for me, private sales must be between Georgia residents and the buyer should be over 18. You don't need a bill of sale.

I won't do a BOS. I will provide a pair of used underpants to the Jr. FFl. If that ain't good enough I guess we won't deal.

If you traded via ODT and used the messaging system the way it's designed, it gives all the protections you THINK you might need from a BOS.

If I'm selling, I wanna know you're over 18, you're a GA resident, and I have to be reasonably sure I'm not selling to a prohibited person.

And that's all.

Reported for using logic and critical thinking skills.
