None in the dark with smoke, but it was Saturday afternoon, very cloudy and raining cats & dogs and my open slide G34 barrel was so hot after 2 mags of 21 each the steam from the rain hitting the barrel totally obscured the front fiber optic sight so I was basically point shooting instinctly at bowling pin steel sillouettes at 20 yards, so yes I do believe I could have got one thru the mask, close enough to suit you?

Vest or not a few 45 or 40 rounds to the chest would have knocked him down. I would not go for a head, arm or leg shot, would go center mass. That said, I believe I would have at least tried to take the shot if there was a clear line of fire, and like it was mentioned, that would have probably made him run.

Yeah because that's exactly like engaging an active shooter possibly with body armor and think smoke (not steam) while being shot at and having to maneuver through crowds of panicking people and stepping over the bodies of people already hit. But yeah shooting stationary targets in the rain is totally the same thing.

No. Not at all. Sir shooting at pins in the rain is a lot differant than shooting back at someone shooting at you in a dark, smoke filled theatre.
I am an expert shot, have been shot at and shot back at active shooters in combat and law enforcement situations and I would not even attempt it in that situation.

And to top it off, if you were to start shooting at said madman, how many other ccw's in the theatre would mistake YOUR DUMB A$$ for the shooter and let loose on you? How do you know who is friend and who is foe other than the guy with the rifle in the gear? How do you know he is alone?

Be a good witness, get your family out and help who you can. Get to safety let the cops sort it out. That's what they get paid for.
If anyone CCWing cut loose with good intentions or not and killed or injured one of my loved ones due to bravado, stupidity, carelessness or LACK OF TRAINING, you'd have a HECK of a lot more to worry about than a lawsuit or an arrest.....
