It is a skill one acquires after retiring the first half on ones 63 yr old life as a LEO and spending the last 33 years training and shooting competively, let those living in glass houses cast the first stone, maybe they'll hit it first toss, maybe not, but trying beats hell out of dying.

Yeah because that's exactly like engaging an active shooter possibly with body armor and think smoke (not steam) while being shot at and having to maneuver through crowds of panicking people and stepping over the bodies of people already hit. But yeah shooting stationary targets in the rain is totally the same thing.

Be a good witness, get your family out and help who you can. Get to safety let the cops sort it out. That's what they get paid for.

By your notes it displays to me that while you may have skill you may not have excercised the best judgement in that situation based on your comments. Therefore I and I seriously doubt many others in the general public would like for you to "try" anything in that situation.
Doing so would illustrate that type of behaviour I refer to as being a dumb @ss...

I don't hide what I do. I also don't pretend to be something I'm not. You are entitled to your opinion about me that is your perogative however I would think based upon your statements it would not bear much weight in the opinion of any professiinal or competent person out there.
