Would you sell something to someone else for more after you agree to a deal?

I can see how it would be tempting for the seller, but you have to draw the line somewhere and stay principled. I have sold items and agreed to a deal at my full asking price which was very fair. While waiting for the meet, I had a guy that kept pm'ing me and offering more than my asking price and he was closer than the other buyer.

I just told him he could be next in line if the 1st buyer backs out and told him it was sold pending meet. I could have been a jerk and took bids from both people and went to the highest offer, but that is not right to do after a deal is agreed on.

I'd say neg feedback is in store for that one. I've learned to keep everything, or at least verify everything through a pm. Had a similar instance happen but it was through text so the neg feedback couldn't stand. This isn't an auction site, he should've been a man of his word

He was asking $75.00 I volunteered more and we agreed to $80. He says he was offered $150 and tried to text me to see if I would match it. Then the other party offered $180 so he accepted it.

1. Who would pay more than retail for 450 shotgun shells?
2. Does this guy own me $50 = half the profit?

We live in a relativistic society where something like a man's "word" is considered quaint and archaic. The very least he should have done is call you and let you know someone offered more money. But, that's still no reason to go back on a deal that he already made with you. I vote negative feedback.

It's is amazing in today's world that some people value the mighty dollar more than their integrity. I say negative feedback should be given.

similar thing happen to me, agreed to ship parts to each other and never got back to me to give his address or anything, until a week later he says he doesn't have it anymore, but all was texting back and forth, lesson learned, pm for meets from now on for me.

I've had a couple deals canceled but the times were always "I'll call you on Saturday". I haven't left negatives on those because there was never a set time and I never wasted any time/energy waiting.

Your case is easy. No-show after a time and place is set gets a negative. I wouldn't want to deal with him so I'd expect to see a negative in his feedback.
