Selling this sporterized SMLE Enfield No 4 Mk 1 in .303 british. This rifle is an original 1943 Fazkerley (made in England) rifle but it has a non matching bolt assembly. It appears to be in an original beech wood military stock set that had the top handguard removed and the front lower handguard shortened(original surplus forestocks can be found online cheap enough). The stock is in good shape and has been preserved with a laquer finish. The barrel has a nice bore with good strong rifling and an undamaged muzzle. The saftey lever has been removed (not sure why, seems to be like this on a lot of sporters) but the rifle functions without it and a new one can be found all over the internet. This rifle comes with one 10 round magazine.
I am not a fan of sported guns so this no longer has a place in my collection, I had intended to use it as a .45 ACP/Delisle Carbine conversion project but have since moved on to other things so it's time to move it out! Asking $120 for it, looking for cash right now so no trades please. I am located in Snellville but I work in Norcross so I am able to meet throught the northern metro Atlana area but I'd prefer to keep within ~10-15 miles of those places.
