WTT/WTB M1A Got One Collecting Dust? Got one in the Safe?

So as some of you know I am really starting to get into Competitive shooting. I am looking for a M1A preferably a Springfield. Do you have one sitting in a safe doing nothing? Do you have one that's old and dusty and needs a new home? Why an M1A? I shoot Garand Matches and like the heft of the full caliber rifles. Its difficult to switch to a M4 Pattern.

My list of wants for a M1A.

1. 22 in barrel GI contour
2. Wood Stock
3. Not shot out.
4. Must operate.
5. Prefer Springfield but will look at others.

I would prefer to trade for one. I have lots of goodies but I can sell off some things if need be. This transaction will take some patience.

Yes sir! The super match ain't cheap! Actually, $2400 isn't too bad. That seems to be what most places have it on sale for. Regular price is around $3k!

OP start with a standard, have it tuned, then later add heavy match barrel and unitized gas cylinder and bed an over sized stock and trigger job .....

It adds up to serious $$ , AKA Supermatch

I do love the M14 platform (M1A).

I bought a Supermatch here for around $2,000, maybe $2,100. In the box but it needed a new op spring guide and a bit of tinkering to get reliable feeding. I don't regret buying it.

I have two that mimic SM, neither are factory Supermatches . Both Heavy barrel, rounds op rod spring guide, match sights, improved triggers, reamed FH
oversized stocks
All USGI except receiver and barrel
