Not sure if this is the right forum for this. I just got a Springfield XDS 45. Nice weapon. But the magazines are so tight, it is really difficult to fill. No weakling here :)and have experience loading a lot of 45ACP mags in my 40+ years of using them. I am thinking that if I just leave them full for a while, the springs will weaken and make it easier. My concern is if a weaker spring will cause feeding issues. Any experience or suggestions???

Just got rid of mine. Great gun but has some kick to it. The mags were tight, but nothing I would need to start a post about. My 7 round mags were a little easier to start than the standard 5 rounders that come with it. Not that it may help, but try take them apart just to make sure for some odd reason somethings not right. May just be some extra stiff springs.

Yes they are tight but it isn't an issue for me. You are right about them possibly having feeding issues with weaker springs. I'm sure that was the purpose of using stiff springs. Leaving them loaded won't weaken the springs. It is the action of loading and unloading that weakens springs.

I noticed mine was a lot tougher than my 9mm mags but this was my first 45 so I figured it was just the heavier spring in the bigger caliber mag. The only really hard one for me is the last one.

Get a LULA mag loader. Helped a lot for me. Had mine since August and its a lot easier to load now. Great gun!
