Met a few that did their best to convince everyone that they were. Most has muscles made of loaf bread and were soft when you put hands(or fists) on them.
I was a bouncer in three states, spent a little time bounty hunting and 14 years LEO.

If they have to tell you they are a bad ass, they are not.

This true buddy.. I’ve bounced around some myself ( just because it was good money for the work) but I’ve gotten softer in my age( less anger on most days)

In high school in learned a few things, first don't mess with the guy who's shirt says 450 club, yeah I learned that the hard way! Second, old guys don't play and they will hurt your butt if you mouth off when they warn you to walk away. Third, the little guys will wear you out!

I’ll be honest, 99.9 of my fights have been taking for the ones who counted defend themselves ( or never should have to) Down syndrome, mentally slow or whatever it may have been.. those people are out here for US TO TAKE CARE OF..but I’m bullheaded enough that I never had the sense to run from a fight.. wish I wasn’t so bullheaded.. lol.. maybe my nose wouldn’t be so crooked

My friend’s Dad who is 99 and will be 100 in May, landed on Iwo Jima with the 5th Marine Division on Feb. 19, 1945 and spent 33 days fighting on that hell hole. The 80th anniversary of the landing is in a couple of weeks and I hope he is still with us. To me growing and as an adult he was and still is a real BADASS.

My dad, uncle (dad’s brother, and my other uncle (mom’s brother) were all combat veterans of WWII. All were soft spoken, unassuming guys but none would take any crap from anyone.
