Yellow Daisy Festival - Anyone Going?

I'm taking the wife and kids this weekend to Stone Mountain for the Yellow Daisy Festival and then we're going to stick around for the laser show. Yes, there's a lot of the "hippie culture" artsy fartsy crowd, but I really enjoy walking around checking out the vendors and eating some good food. I haven't been to the laser show since they changed the format and eliminated Elvis Presley's rendition of Dixie and no longer included images of the Confederate Flag. My kids are 13 and 14 and this will be their first laser show at Stone Mountain. Anyone else going?

My wife went Thursday. She said it was packed and hot. But besides that she loved it.

ive been before. there was a free 3 doors down concert a number of years back. there was some good food. I think there was a chili cook off the year I was there.

and the laser show sucks now. cool they've reworked it being it was the same for so long, but now its mostly small clips of songs. and yes they did do away with "Dixie" and "the devil went down to GA" is now just a small clip as well. those 2 songs were always the best part of it IMO. its still fun to take a kid to though. we took my son on the 4th last year for the fireworks. and even that seems to have been cut way down in length.

We went last year and today after seeing the lines of cars trying to get in the park we passed. May be tomorrow..
