Yellow jacket underground nest elimination tactics

At night. I used the better part of a can of the foaming wasp spray. A few try to crawl out but nobody survived.
I also had ZERO exposed skin. Just in case. I despise those things ...

gas mixed with dishwashing liquid. Soap sticks to em an the gas eliminates em and also makes effective molotov cocktails

I've done the gasoline thing a few times. Once it was iffy because the "hole" went sideways into a hill, not straight down.
Still, I managed to pour a good amount of gas in there and then jammed a glass bottle in the hole to seal it.
Left it alone for 2 days, then dug up the nest / honeycomb. No survivors in there, and none seen in the area over that 2-day period.

The gas works every time I put it in a pump sprayer and spray a steady stream in the hole with the spray tip removed. That way I do not have to be to close.

One word of advice, be careful shining a light on the holes. They will fly toward the light and sting whoever is holding it. I know from having honeybees and putting in a nuc after dark. They flew about 15 feet and got the wife several times. She was not happy about that.

I use a plastic water bottle about half full of gas, just walk by the hole at night, and poke the open water bottle neck into the hole and keep walking.... We have these angry little half sized yellow jackets that attack everything that gets close in the daylight, they die by my hands at night.....MUAHAHAHAHA!

Yellow jackets are actually hornets. That is why they hurt like crap when they get on you. Honeybees are much milder in their stings. Just know that you can have 50,000+ honeybees in a hive, so do go messing with them.

Given the decline in honeybees and their importance to agriculture I wouldn’t kill them. I would contact a beekeeper to remove the nest
