I was speaking with my company's global Health, Safety, and Environment Manager. He was telling me that pretty much all cargo ships are taken to India to be scrapped. The reason is asbestos; you never know which ship is full of it.

So why India? In India the average life expectancy is so low that no one lives long enough to get mesothelioma.
