How is this Dog Temper? Is he good with Kids?
Izzy is a special dog. She was horribly abused and had some home breeders attempt to dock her tail and ears and had brain damage coming out of whatever home brew anesthetic they used. She can only open her mouth about 1/2 to 3/4 of inch so she can't even bite. Well, if you stuck a finger in there I know she take that clean off if she wanted. That is what we know from the vet who found her wandering alone one morning. That vet also performed emergency surgery on another of Izzy's litter who came out better. Sadly no one owned up to anything so no was caught for doing this to those dogs.
She gets along with my other two dogs who are half her size and is good with most other dogs. Because of her issues, most other dogs don't want to be around her since she plays hard and is so big. She leaps in the air and throws her paws like a boxer when playing.
She loves anyone who will give her attention and with her condition the only danger she poses to anyone is knocking them down as she is a solid 110+ pounds. She is an absolute sweetheart otherwise. She loves her belly rubs and sits at my feet at my desk in the mornings until she moves to couch to sleep in the summer and outside under the deck or in some bushes in the spring and fall. That's my Izzy. No one else would take her as she has quirks.
