  1. Sell me on th Sig sauer P238 or P938

They may be fine weapons, but for pocket carry? Nope, not my cup of tea. Weight and single action design just don't meet my criteria for a pocket pistol. For me a crisp trigger is meaningless on a belly pistol. My target application ain't gonna be small or far away.
  2. 45acp in a glock 30

Forums aren't the place to find load data. Use published data provided by bullet/powder manufacturers. Model 30's aren't picky. Mine are 100% reliable and accurate with most 200g - 230g ball and jhp's loaded at moderate to high velocity. I've not tried target velocity loads in any of them...
  3. Anyone Reloading 38 super

I shoot the Super too. It's a great round. I use a custom Lee sizing die for a tighter hold on .355" bullets. I've used .355", .356", and .357 jacketed bullets with excellent results. I've used several powders including Universal, Longshot, HP38/W231 etc. I have nothing good to say about...
  4. Reloading 762x39

I've loaded 7.62 x 39. I bought new Winchester brass. I don't recall where I got it though, too many moons ago?
  5. Took a hammer to my Lee loadmaster

I wouldn't complain about not having money while admitting to demolishing any item with some value. The Loadmaster is a decent capable press, someone would have paid something for it in "As-Is" condition. I'm experienced enough to have learned that my frustrations are usually quite expensive.
  6. Took a hammer to my Lee loadmaster

Money doesn't grow on trees, and you took a hammer to it? I guess that's logical, somehow?
  7. 9mm Subsonic

This ain't the place to get load data. No forum is. Stick with published data.
  8. Hogdon Titewad now has load data

I'm glad you can use the powder, but when it comes to powders economy simply doesn't appeal to me. High load densities are important to me. Higher density loadings increase ignition reliability and decrease the likelihood mischarged rounds not being detected before seating the bullet.
  9. 7.62x25 - Anyone reload these?

  10. Is a J frame enough

I have an old Model 60 that's stuck with me longer than any carry piece before. It's absolutely adequate for my everyday carry. I usually carry a .380 auto now, only because it's a bit more comfortable and fits easily in my back pocket.
  11. Reloading 7mm STW

We may need a sticky. http://www.theoutdoorstrader.com/threads/614211-Help-wanted
  12. Case neck size issue brass vs. nickel plated

Nickeled brass sucks. It's more trouble than it's worth. It's harder and a lot less malleable. It'll crack a lot sooner than most any standard brass case will. I don't bend over for any nickeled case.
  13. Help wanted

It's not just safety, but the liability the loader takes on. People swear they won't sue you if something happens. Yea, right. With some of the crap I've read others do shooting anyone's, especially someone I don't know and know their practices handloads is a gamble that I won't take.
  14. 45 colt cowboy loads bad for your gun?

The only way cowboy loads may do any damage would if loaded using a corrosive black powder or substitute. A good cleaning will avoid that damage too. Some folks like bp for true cowboy look and smell.
  15. Help wanted

Two fools meet when this practice occurs....
  16. .223 case length....

After resizing I uniform my length for any bottleneck @ .010" under max. Some may do .015" but I'm very pleased with 10 under for my apps.
  17. Lee Auto Disk Powder Measure

If you enjoy tweaking or want an exact load the adjustable charge bar works as well as the disk for me. For the money, or even twice the price the Pro Auto Disk measure and its accessories are true bargains. A consistent hand on the lever will help yield very accurate charges.
  18. Lee Auto Disk Powder Measure

It's normal for many powders to come in .2g or so low to the supplied chart. I own several of these measures that I leave set up for my most common calibers. These are great handgun measures, but like most things today they're going to be conservative.
  19. Digital Caliper recommendations

Just to satisfy an older guys curiosity, why go digital? I have a couple of standard dial calipers that I've used for years without issue. I can't imagine replacing them with anything electronic. Thanks, CD
  20. Reloading woes

The Pro 1000 is a capable straight walled cartridge press. Learning the basics on one, well it ain't something I'd want to do. Get yourself an inexpensive single stage or turret press to nail the process down. The 1000 does work, but you have to follow the directions and have a consistent hand...
