A snake question...

My cat brings these in. About 10" long. I scoop them up and toss them back in the woods.

What is it?

i'd say it's a reptile that i would rather not have to look at in person but i doubt poisonous since the cats still around

I was pretty sure it was non poisonous since it didn't have the arrowhead shaped head. I just hope he doesn't bring in anything much bigger!

They get bigger than 10 inches. And they bite. Just ask my son. He brought one to me when he was 5 or 6. Scared the crap out of me till l knew what it was. But l could see where it bit him on the hand. Nothing major but still enough to make me worry.
