Years ago I had a friend that owned a gun store and he got great pricing on ammo because of his buying power. He had a small group of us (maybe 10-12) that shot a lot, he would give us ammo at 1% + tax over cost. There used to be good money to be made in ammo.
UPS would show up with a trailer and we would all leave looking like this. Back then 1k rnds of green tip was right at $100.00 too though.
