Stay away from a lawyer as long as possible.

worst advice ever. After my last accident my lawyer is the 2nd call I make after I call 911.

Insurance company was trying to screw me over essentially 3 grand. Hired Laxguy59 and his team, I didn't have to do anything else and they settled for 17 grand. Calling a lawyer was the best move I have ever made when it came to auto insurance.

That's great. Its always a laugh when ODT members hire me and recall my younger days on here.

Wish I had a decent lawyer back when my truck was totaled. Guy blew out of the parking lot of a bar, crossing 3 lanes of traffic (I was in the left most lane), never saw him until it was too late and "T"-boned him. He told the cops he "thought" he could beat me... and the cop NEVER ISSUED A TICKET!!! My "lawyer" kept putting off filing until it was too late (about 2 years, claiming he had "other" cases).

As well, if there was serious impact, insure your wife or children have no concussion type symptoms- a head bump is not necessary to cause.

Just out of curiosity, who is the "other" insurance company? If it is Allstate or Liberty Mutual, hold on its gonna be a rocky ride.
