Anyone Build a "Container Home"

Have you thought about concealing it? It would certainly hide the structure and provide shade in the summer.

Life span, mobility, durability, re sale value, maintenance...I would consider a camper if you can find me a 30' Airstream for under $6500

My girlfriend bought one of those two story sheds from Home Depot. 16'X16'. I have spent hours out in it figuring out how easy it would be to turn into a small cabin. They had it built in site for between $7 and $8000.00. It's extremely sturdy and with two floors I think it would make a dandy cabin or even a home for a single guy. I can't imagine it would cost more than $4000 to make it habitable with plumbing, power, heat and AC of some kind. Insulate and finish the interior and add some cabinets and a small bathroom and kitchen

My father and I took a 20' container and put tandem axles under it and made a mobile hunting cabin. Very heavy but it was never broken into.
