ATF new “rule” for no firearm Transaction without background check

Bottom line is Dems are trying to end private sales. Next president needs to abolish the ATF.

Department of Education: Educates no one

Department of Energy produces no energy

Eliminate every DEI position and initiative.

Close the border and deport CRIMINAL illegal aliens. End any monetary support to sanctuary cities and NGOs that support illegals.

Overturn every Biden Executive Order

Drill baby Drill.

Oh and a balanced budget amendment and debt reduction would be nice. Make Dave Ramsey Budget Czar.

Now leaving fantasy Island.
Indeed....

All true, but they know they can't get 'universal' backgrounds checks through even though they poll well.

This is a step they can take to make people voluntarily stop buying and selling guns through private sales due to FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt).

Hopefully people will simply continue what they have been doing and ignore 99% of it.

Interesting question, If you decided to meet at an FFL to conduct a sale to another member could they still prosecute you if your intent was to make a profit? What if they decided the rifle you bought 10 years ago for $500 like an M1 Garand or an Inland M1 Carbine or a Colt 1911A1 now has a market value of $1000. They don't do this for classic cars or require a seller to be a car dealer.

Just looking to eliminate/register all guns.
You cannot pick and choose wording, you have to use it all. Periods and commas mean things.

And it seems to be working just fine, if this and other threads here are any indication.

But then again You Tube is such a bastion of freedom, I’m sure they would never allow untrue or false content, Right?

The big problem with YouTube (as well as here) is the rush to be first on these things.

In this case it's a 466 page document and most of the real meat is in the ~400 pages of comments and replies.

On YT there's a monetary incentive to being first out of the gate, no matter how inaccurate your information. The second video out on a topic typically gets less than half the views of the first when it comes to top-tier channels. And views are $$$.

Here's it's just bragging rights, but you still see people start a thread without really looking into things, just to get the first posts on the subject.

whats a profit? Is that one of our members who think they are some kind of god who knows it all about everything? No thats a Prophet. Never seed no profit

The armed attorneys on YT is a very good start to understanding what's going on and avoiding the hype channels, what ifs, etc, follow up question videos. They made a follow up question video for this here. Emily is especially fun to listen to and watch as she has no patience for government BS. From their view point with the wording etc, it ain't looking so hot because of how open ATF wording leaves things. For example, if you've sold a gun after June 2022 you might want to be alittle concerned, but only alittle.

My view is, they may as well start building a hundred thousand prisons and send half of the country's population to jail. It'll only cost them trillions of dollars in construction and tax losses(from imprisoned citizens who arent working to create income to pay a tax) over the years. Totally worth the trouble to save a handful of people every year(compared to the total population) so they can grow older and still die to any of a thousand ways in 1 day to 80 years.

But we know it's not about those people. It's about control, and it's not just democrats. Like I said, pubs are alarmingly present for 2A infringements because they think as long as we can wield hunting rifles and revolvers, the 2A is alive and well. We only have a few who see past that noise and defends the 2A properly as it's extremely clear on it's wording to protect all arms for all time by simply using the term "arms" instead of "gun" or "musket" It protects all matter of weapons, but we know that doesn't stop politicians. And so did the founding fathers, that's why the term was used, and the amendment so damn well worded to leave no doubt. It's so well worded that democrats have to do mental gymnastics to try to twist it into something else. Beyond that, all they could hope for is the American spirit for freedom to rule supreme over time.

The episode where they answer questions is pretty good as well...

At the end of the day all this rule does is codify the arbitrary power the ATF already wields.

They could always charge you with being an 'unlicensed dealer' and in most cases it wouldn't even matter if they got a conviction... For a regular person the lawyers fees alone would bankrupt them so they would plea out.

The PR blitz around this rule gives away the real intent... make people afraid to sell guns privately.
