I don’t use an owl call either, I use my own voice. Also what is your favorite calling surface on a friction call? I really like glass but slate is right there with glass for me.

Same, I do putts, and yelps with my voice too.

I carry 2 glass calls and have several different strikers of different types for different sounds.
I might add an aluminum pot call to my arsenal for longer range calling.
I use a box for my longer range calling now.

I also meant to say that I use my crow call when I want to close distance on a Tom. If possible, I keep a fix on his location with a crow or owl call, then start using hen talk once I’m in his bubble.
