There's a new company making fake matching K98s like Mitchell's Mausers did...

Apparently these are Ethiopian surplus rifles... maybe they have been stored all these years. It's possible with the surrender of all the Axis forces in Africa in 1943, that all of these rifles were given to Ethiopia. That being said, I can't imagine the poor condition of these rifles. I don't think the Ethiopia army is known for its weapons maintenence. I think this is RTI's version of force matching numbers on the rifles. ( like the Russian electric pencil). I'm unclear if the barrels were swapped out for new ones or not. As I see it $1,000.00 bucks is pretty much the going rate on K98's.
