Item Description: A used former POlice service S&W Model 66 (no dash). Pinned and recessed, with the original stainless steel rear sight leaf. The rear sight blade is blue steel. Wooden target stocks. Serrated trigger. Target hammer. Serrated backstrap.
It has the typical dings of a working gun. The front sight is slightly rounded from wear on top and has a ding on the left side as shown in the picture. No dings in the crown of the muzzle. The stocks show wear from being carried but aren't beaten to death.
The revolver is stamped CPD 15 on the left side. An administrative number (38) is scratched on the left side below the thumbpiece (cylinder release). That doesn't mean it's .38 caliber.
It shoots well and would make an excellent home defense gun or truck gun for those who like that sort of thing.
