Beautiful rifle in excellent condition made in 1963. Only reason I'm selling it is to replace it with a new Marlin/Ruger 1894. This has one of the most beautiful stocks I've ever seen, and a rich deep blue. It's honestly too nice for me.

I'm tempted to. Main reason I want the new lever action is because it's more conducive to whipping up some despicable hand loads. This is also simply too nice, I'd hate to inevitably ding it up

You should be able to load good 44mag and spcl loads that work great through that rifle ! I load for mine. Not any problems. Just use the close to factory loads or lower. They operate just fine out of that rifle I bet !!

I even run my cast bullets out of it.
