Lower Materials: Forged vs Billet

Both forged aluminum and billet aluminum lowers are milled.

I bought a billet lower, yeah an extra 100.. Am I happy with my purchase? Sure! Do I think its superior or inferior? Nope! The "special" Think about my lower is the stainless grip screw insert and the built in slop reducer (never used it honestly)
As Nwsharpshooter said, I believe they're both milled. IIRC from MT mom's ex bf, his company made the raw unfinished product 80 percent lower for c3. He gave me 3 lowers that didn't pass their qc, and all looked like a regular old 80 percent. Not sure if forging comes before or after that process honestly, but both are milled. When you finish an 80 percent forged lower, you are milling it..

Thanks for all the comments.... It doesn't cost me any more for the billet, it just will take an additional month or so to get them.
