At that price, it might be worth trying. I plan on getting one of those LED bulbs that flickers like fire. I don't think it will get too hot.

If you get a real steel helmet (foreign ones from the Cold War era are pretty cheap)
you could shoot HOLES through it, to let some light shine out.
I think that would add to the Cool Factor.

Or, that $17 plastic helmet could have holes drilled into it, but they would be distinguishable from
real bullet impact holes.

Have you tried Sarco for the helmet? They have lots of milsurp stuff.
