What states, if any, can you purchase a pistol and leave with it if you have a GA carry permit and Ga license. I know that most states around GA you can buy long guns and not have to send to a FFL reciever.

If you buy a handgun out of state it has to be shipped back to your FFL in your state of residence..
Well I guess that answers that. I do like the Walmarts in South Carolina for long guns--Mini14's, Sigs, Bushmaster, Colts, etc. -- no telling what they will have. The counter guy said they get in stuff and its a one time sell. Seems like most of their rifles is like that though.
Sir, same thing with Pistol. I buy alot from AL and I am a GA resident with a carry permit... I have to have it transfered to a GA FFL. It is illegal for them to give you a firearm you purchased in another state and for you not to leagally be from there...
