Savage 300 black "build"

I came across a decent deal on a Savage 308 and decided to turn it into a 300 black. Rifle started out as a savage 110 tactical .308. I found a new take off 300 black barrel from an axis and installed it. Just waiting on a few more parts from midway and it will be ready to shoot. I had a ruger american ranch prior to this but it seemed too finicky and fiddly to me with the ar mags. This will allow me to try the same concept but with aics mags instead. If i like it I intend on using it as a suppressor host once my Enticer S is approved. If I get bored with the 300 black cartridge I can swap back to the .308 barrel.

I've watched a few videos on them but I'm kinda turned off by the barrel. The kinda look like there trying to hard to be cool, lol.

Another perk to my set up is the aluminum bedded stock and aluminum bottom metal and trigger guard.

New mag came in, it's a Ruger AI style mag. Seems to fit and feed well so far.

I've been pretty pleased with it so far. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but it seems to cycle alot better than the ruger american that I had before this. Some of the ammo I loaded before would jam in the ruger, so far I haven't had that issue cycling mags through it. The ruger mag seems to fit well enough though, I may order an mdt mag to try out too.
