I converted my Mini-14 from a club (as I purchased it) to a functioning weapon when I inserted a full magazine and racked the slide. I wouldn't sell it to anyone with the conversion in place so if you are going to buy one, buy the club, and it's a little light on the weight side so doesn't really make an excellent club, but it comes with a magazine or two and you just add ammo, make the conversion and you have an excellent weapon.
