The receiver date is under the tang near the rear attaching bolt, you'd have to take off the stock to see it, the Finns reused a lot of old Russian receivers when they re-arsenaled their Mosins so it's possible to find a pre-1900 receiver. I just enjoy seeing what's out there and hope to add my... -

I have one with a higher serial # but built on a similar Imperial Russian receiver dated 1906, I wonder what year that one is, just curious though, glws. :) ~ It looks like the Imperial crest is intact too, most of mine has been peened away. -

It could be an ex-sniper, with the mounting holes in the receiver filled in and a standard bolt in place of the original bent one, but originally yes, due to the way the bolt and scope fit it would have to have a bent bolt handle.
