I miss the search in a forum feature to limit the search to just the header or the entire content and also what happens to the forum search for the forum you are in?
What you are looking at is the special order French scope mount. By mounting it backwards, they feel better as at least one gun is pointing at them (while looking at the enemy thru the scope) when they surrender.
Another vote for a 686 Beretta but I would try to extend the budget just a bit and send it to Briley and have a set of 20ga tubes fitted to it. If he can handle them, 30" barrels, if not, 28". With the added weight of the tubes, recoil will be nil and the additional weight out front will help...
I already have a Talon II bobtail or I would get this one from you. I happen to like Ed Brown bobtails (have quite a few) and prefer them on my carry pistols. They are not for everyone though.

He is a great guy to deal with and he now has 3 less 1911's than this morning but I promise to give them a good home. Just finished introducing them to their brothers and sisters and they look like they will get along with the rest of the family and fit right in.
