    .308 for me as well. I have an M1A and absolutely love it. Very low recoil too. I don't feel like I would ever need any of those magnum cartridges around here.

    I have a mini 14 stainless. Got some of the plastic Thermold magazines (from Sportsman's Guide I think). I figured they wouldn't work, but they were so cheap I had to try it. I tried one of them this past weekend. It was a little fussy getting it seated in the gun but it fed fine - no jams...
