  3. Need some advice about a K31 magazine.

Help me out guys. I recently sold an aftermarket Swiss K31 magazine on ebay and now the guy wants to return it because his dumba$$ actually has a model 1911 and bought the magazine thinking it would fit, even though I specified in the listing it was for a K31. I also specified in the listing...
  4. Redneck engineering

I can't wait to shoot it! I have to find a magazine first. I don't think I can come up with a redneck solution for that one.

  6. That sweet Swiss Action

Awesome rifles! Just got a M1911 myself and can't wait to shoot it. You wouldn't happen to have an extra magazine laying around that you would want to sell me would you, lol?
  7. Redneck engineering

1coolhand, it's a Swiss Schmidt Rubin M1911 7.5x55 straight pull rifle. The bolt pulls straight back instead of up then back. You don't have to have the knobs to pull it back but it makes it easier.
  8. Redneck engineering

Exactly 1coolhand. That's why I went with a low tech, low cost solution. I chose stainless steel for strength, but you're right PA4476 it is pretty noticeable. Nothing a little black paint won't take care of, lol.
  9. Redneck engineering

Thanks! Best part about it is, it only cost me $5! If anybody else needs a quick fix I can tell you my secret. 1 1/4 in #6 stainless steel machine screw, nylon center nut, couple of cut down rubber stoppers, and a couple of washers. I did find a couple of places that had a magazine Hayata but...

    Haha! True, Mentos, true.
  11. Redneck engineering

This is my redneck engineered solution to missing bolt knobs on my Swiss M1911. I got tired of searching for a replacement pair so I did something about it. It ain't pretty but it's functional!
  12. Help! I need a Schmidt Rubin M1911 magazine and bolt knobs.

Awesome man, I appreciate the info! Yeah that was me at Acworth Guns. It was good to meet you. I'll check out those links.
  13. Help! I need a Schmidt Rubin M1911 magazine and bolt knobs.

As the title says I need a magazine and bolt knobs for a Schmidt Rubin M1911. I was given the gun recently, minus said items, and I would really like to complete the rifle. I've spent days looking online and everyone that would normally carry them are out of stock or just absolutely ridiculous...
  14. Swiss M1911 help

Whoops! Turns out my dad actually has a Swiss M1911 rifle. We originally thought it was a K31 until we took a closer look. The gun does come with a magazine but it doesn't fit. After looking at it I believe it is a K31 magazine, probably aftermarket as there is no serial number. So if anyone has...
  15. Swiss M1911 help

Got some good leads from the Swiss rifle forum, Hayata. Hopefully they still have them in stock.
